50th Birthday Party Ideas

50th Birthday Party Ideas

Laura and Debbie of Party Perfect, Orlando came up with some unique and creative 50th birthday party ideas in honor of Laura’s husband Rick.   They have been very kind to share the pictures of the celebration; let us look at how they made the occasion special.

The table setting is formal. White forms the background, and is punctuated by the colors of the flowers used in the arrangement. The deep hues of the dining plates compliment the decor. Orchids float in water filled jars; they are simple, yet look sophisticated.

The photo candle holders are the focal element that adds personality to the whole arrangement. They take us on a trip down memory lane and cover all the milestones in Rick’s life. This was Laura’s labor of love, and there couldn’t be a better way to celebrate the life of the man you love.

The menu card is designed to be as unique as is possible. Did you notice the cartoon in the header? It is none other than Rick himself! What an ingenious idea to use this cartoon to personalize the menu.

Here’s another wonderful surprise. Laura and Debbie had cookies created in Rick’s image.  Rick and Laura’s daughter, Emma, drew the caricature of Rick that was used  to create the cookie cutter as well as used on the menu.  Creativity definitely runs in the family.   These superb party favors are tagged with place cards that help the guests find their seats.

Here are Rick’s childhood photos. A treasure trove of black and white moments, illuminated with the glow of candles to refresh those golden memories!

Laura has captured the essence of the most special moments in Rick’s life through these pictures. I love the nostalgic effect that these images conjure up. It is like a slideshow of images, and I am certain that it triggered plenty of conversation.

The photos continue to take us all the way from Rick’s birth to his 50th birthday. The best part of these candle holders is that, after the party they can still be used as a wonderful keepsake.

What I like about this party is that Rick’s image is part of many aspects of the party from table decorations to menu cards and invitations, and every element has been executed perfectly. He must be one happy man. I am certain everyone had a wonderful evening and Laura and Debbie have made the occasion special beyond imagination.

If you are looking for great 50th birthday favors, we offer some great ones.  Keeping with the photo theme of this post, our most popular favor is a photo mint tin.  Party hosts often use a baby picture of the guest of honor, but a current image is also very nice.

Another popular  favor is an elegant 50th birthday candle with the numbers 50 placed throughout it.

Finally, a  personalized trinket glass is such a nice keepsake, and practical too.
