Basketball Bar Mitzvah

Basketball Bar Mitzvah

One of the coolest themes for a Bar Mitzvah is basketball. Youngsters who play the game, and are great fans of it will love to have this as their party theme for any big milestone celebration. Linzi of Linzi Events introduces us to some fabulous ideas to score extra points with this theme, at our next celebration. So, let’s team up and dribble up to these parties. The fun is about to begin!

The bar is a wonderful display with the bright orange color, associated with basketball, in focus against the white background. The glow of warm yellow lights adds a brilliant touch to the arrangement, and sets the perfect party mood. Floral arrangements in orange in white vases are a befitting addition the décor.

Guests can dance through the evening on the dance floor, which has been personalized with the colors and logo carefully chosen for the event.

The party venue is a continuous palette of orange and white, with orange table linen in stark contrast against pristine white chairs. The main stage is decorated with elaborate orange floral decorations that  are a vivid picture against the white backdrop. I love this idea of featuring the Bar Mitzvah boy playing basketball, in black and white photographs with just a few orange accents that make it remarkably attractive.

The table linen was custom made in orange and white with a print resembling overlapping basketballs. The napkins in orange have white napkin rings that further tie it to the theme of the party.

This party décor is planned around the two signature colors of the chosen team. Magnificent yellow spheres of roses tower over smaller globes of hydrangea, in a rich blue shade. It is a captivating centerpiece that works very well on a long table.

Decor items include basketballs and caps in the same color theme. Enclosed in transparent glass boxes, these are given a place of honor as memorabilia that are apt for this party.

Now, here is a dinner table that is simply sensational! Basketballs, footballs and tennis balls are arranged meticulously in the glass base of the dining table, while towers containing basketballs and footballs form attractive centerpieces.

Invitations are drafted in textured paper resembling the surface of basketballs, and are personalized with a suitable logo. The design is both original and interesting. It conveys what a great party is in store to the guests.

The indispensable kippah for the Bar Mitzvah is made to represent a basketball, and this seamlessly integrates to the theme.

What could be a better party favor than real basketballs packed into boxes customized with the team colors and chosen logo! It is bound to be a smashing hit with all the guests, irrespective of how old they are.

We thus come to the end of this entertaining basketball party. Didn’t you enjoy Linzi’s slam dunk ideas? A special thanks to her for sharing these excellent ideas with us.
