In choosing the perfect First Communion gown for your daughter, follow these simple steps to success.
- Decide on a budget. Remember that the gown is just one piece of the celebration, which will likely contain other accessories, such as shoes and a veil, as well as party supplies. Search online and in various stores to find a price that meets your budget. Start looking with plenty of time to spare so that you won’t have to overspend as the date draws nearer.
- Consider the weather for the day of the ceremony, and choose a fabric that will be most appropriate and comfortable for your daughter. Remember that light cotton tends to breathe easier than silk or satin, so if it’s going to be warm, you may want to consider a cotton gown. Also, if the First Communion celebration is in a cold month, considering purchasing a matching shawl to accompany the dress.
