Outdoor parties are always fun; the atmosphere is casual and relaxed, and the warmth created by nature is unparallelled. Kate of Cupkates celebrated her 30th birthday with a beautiful tea party and has been kind enough to share the pictures of this event with us. Let us look at the ideas she’s implemented on a glorious day.
The table setting is simple but elegant! A white table cloth as the base is topped with table runners in a beautiful floral fabric with subtle pink and white flowers printed throughout. The flower arrangement of pink snap dragons is arranged in glass jars of various shapes; simple jars have been decorated with lace ribbons and prettied with pearls and ribbons to look extra special.
The tables are set in a garden amongst trees and are a picture of white bliss. Streamers tied between the trees dance in the wind as they join the celebration with the birthday girl and her loved ones.
A tea party has to include tea, and we see how to do it in style here! And Kate has used a charming selection of vintage tea cups to serve it in complete style.
The dessert buffet is set on a classy crochet covered table.A tassel garland in the background adds a sparkling flourish to the arrangement which is set against lush greenery.The treats on the table include scones, hummingbird cupcakes, caramel tarts, lemon cheesecake and trifle. Each element has its due focus and pretty floral labels have been used to name them all.
These hummingbird cupcakes in baby pink are splendid on the silver cupcake trays they are perched upon. The dainty little flowers on the creamy frosting add a touch of finesse to the otherwise simple arrangement.
This cake is adorable and reminds us of blooms and blossoms smiling at the sun! It is an ombre cake covered in coconut and looks delicious.
Champagne punch and iced tea were served to the guests in vintage cups. The tall beverage dispensers look beautiful with the bright colored drinks in them. The whole arrangement on a wooden table decked with fine crochet linen is elegant and welcoming.
The guests get to take home beautiful cookies that resemble vintage kettles—what a befitting thank you gift for the elegant tea party that was held! Thank you notes in floral printed card are attached to the cookies with golden bows to add the finishing touch.
