Graduation Dessert Party

Graduation Dessert Party

A graduation is a mark of accomplishment and signifies the end of a very important chapter in life. Success and new beginnings deserve sweet celebrations, and Donna of Party Wishes threw a dessert party to honor new graduate Mathew, on his achievement. Let us look at the wonderful ideas she put together at this party.

The welcome sign introduces us to the color theme of navy and gold that is used throughout the party! The lovely weather allowed Donna to work her charm in conducting it outdoors. The brilliant combination of navy blue and gold throughout the décor stand out prominently against the natural background of lush green.

The dessert buffet is arranged on a surface of navy blue. The dark background draws focus to the white and light colored treats in the arrangement. Set against distressed wooden shutters, the bunting in blue and white is highlighted beautifully. The entire look has a rustic charm to it.

This is a simple, but elegant arrangement of teacakes in tiers. The labeling is done using miniature clip boards, which are befitting accessories for a graduation party. The cake toppers are in blue and white, with the traditional graduation hat symbol on them. This motif is used throughout the décor. The upper tier of cakes are placed on a tray of navy blue beads which blend right into the rest of the décor.

Here are milk chocolate cake pops in navy and gold that look like festive pom poms. The labeling is again using a clipboard which is propped upon an easel.

The cake is a simple creation that looks just perfect in the glory of pristine white. There is no elaborate frosting or use of decorations, but it looks classy and delicious. The covering of coconut resembles a blanket of snow, and cake toppers made of old gold arise from the surface and add elegance.

Beneath the cake is a tray with an assortment of biscuits. The arrangement is impeccably neat and there is a variety on offer. The cake is placed on a wooden shelf beside the flower arrangement, which is an extension of the central color theme. The setup is simple, but well laid-out.

Napkins in a navy and white chevron print peep out of a napkin holder which has been decorated with a ribbon and labelled with the central motif.

The beverage counter is distinctive and set on white. The containers are arranged on a tinned tiered stand and are flanked on either side by beverage dispensers in glass. Floating lemon slices add an air of refreshing coolness. There is a towering navy blue balloon that enhances to the entire effect. Donna has provided black labels and chalk that allows each guest to label their drink. This is such a clever idea to avoid anyone getting their drinks mixed up!

Blossoming blue, yellow and white flowers are used throughout the décor. Yellow marigolds in little silver vases are placed atop thick books covered in brown paper and tied with stripe strings. Bigger glass jars are used to house a flurry of blue orchids with vibrant yellow and soft white marigold flowers. These centerpieces are the ideal selection for the party; they add color and are ideal for the occasion that is being celebrated.

The arrangement of paper lanterns in gold and white look festive. Blue pom poms and buntings that alternate in navy blue and chevron make the setting playful and full of cheer.

The seating arrangements are elegant and original. Park benches are covered in white and blue and decorated with a brilliant centerpiece. The arrangement of white tea light candles on a base of blue silk and the floating blue balloons with gold tassels make the arrangement a work of art.

Here is a customized box that invites greetings, gifts and wishes from the guests to the happy graduate. The label is smart in white with a navy blue and white chevron margin that is set apart from the lettering by a band of bright yellow.

Mathew is lucky to have had a great graduation party that was planned with a lot of thought and put together with lot of thought. A fitting start to a new chapter in his life—good job Donna!
