Nautical Theme Baptism

Nautical Theme Baptism

The wind and waves come alive at this fantastic Nautical Theme Baptism, hosted by Anabella of Celebremosdulce. Let us throw off the bowline and sail into this party, which is even more special because it was planned with extra care for Anabella’s youngest child’s first birthday and baptism.

Juan Cruz’s baptism décor is based on the simple combination of navy and white sailor stripes. Can you believe that this awesome looking boat is actually made from a napkin? Tiny blue and white flags personalized with the little boy’s name crown the cheerful napkins.

Isn’t this a splendid table setting! The table runner in sailor stripes hosts elegant tea light holders, wine glasses and the pretty flower arrangements. Guests are seated on either side of the long table, facing each other. The boat shaped napkins are placed on pristine white dinner plates, adding a colorful elegance to the flawless white.

Bunches of carnations pop out of water jars that are ringed with navy and white stripes. The thin green leaves add a welcome dose of color to the arrangement.

How cute are these tea light holders! Twisted ropes curl around the mouth of the container and are held in place with thin strands of silky blue satin. These are a perfect choice for the theme of this party.

A printed bunting with the birthday boy’s name was crafted using the blue and white stripes theme. The natural green background offers a striking contrast, making it a noticeable display.

Aren’t these details simply remarkable! I love how Anabella added mini buntings to the backs of the white chairs to tie them in with the theme.

Here are the interesting nautical themed party favors for the guests to take home. Bottles are adorned with signature twisted ropes, and display notes of thanks to the guests who attended the party on the big day in the little boy’s life.

What an adorable cake! A darling angel looks upon the onlookers from the altar atop the cake. The tier is embellished with sparkling silver sugar sprinkles and white frosting on a gray-white base.

The dessert table also includes a two-tiered nautical theme cake, complete with a twisted rope falling to the lower deck, and striped ribbons caressing the smoothly sculpted white frosting.

More buntings are hung from the ceiling, this time featuring anchors and steering wheels as prints. Alongside these, plenty of white carnations drop from above to add to the festive effect.  That was an excellent nautical party, where every detail showcased the theme it was based on. Juan Cruz will someday look back on the pictures of his first birthday and baptism and adore his mother for the thought she put into making this day perfect.
