Pink Christening for a Girl

Pink Christening for a Girl

A pink Christening is perfect for a little girl and Rechelle of Sweets Marquee did a marvelous job creating a beautiful pink sweet table.    With pink and white being the predominant colors, there are so many elegant touches that don’t have to cost a lot of money.  From the photo frames as decorations and ribbon around every item to lovely pink flowers, Rachelle was kind enough to allow me to show off her artistry.

Pink Individually boxed cupcakes: Not only do these make beautiful decorations, but guests can easily take them home as party favors to be enjoyed later.  Rechelle has kept the pink color scheme going, both in the frosting on the cupcake, and the beautiful ribbon tied around each plastic box.  (Clear boxes are perfect for packaging, as they allow guests to see their contents.)

Pink personalized candy bars: These treats are truly unique, as they have the name and date of the event, as well as a picture of the guest of honor. Rechelle has used a light pink background and wrapped the homemade wrappers around foil-covered chocolate bars.  A tray containing the name ‘Ava’ adds one last piece of personalization and makes the layout look sophisticated.

The pink cake: Placed in the middle of the table, the cake serves both as a centerpiece and a delicious dessert.  Because Rechelle has many other sweet offerings, the cake is small.  Pink accents tie in with the theme of the party, and simple crosses signify that this is a religious event.  Yet, the cake remains fun with a small doll-like statue of a young girl.

Candy jars with pink candy: Large jars add a splash of color and personality to the table.  Each of the glass jars contains a different kind of candy, from large gumballs and lollipops to mints or pink jellybeans.  Pink or white ribbons are tied around each jar, and a scoop, along with cellophane bags, have been provided for guests.  This creates a fun takeaway gift for children and adults alike.   Rechelle uses an ornate white photo frame with the words:   The sweet table will be open after we cut the cake.  What a practical way to let guests know when they can enjoy the treats.

Photo  Frames: There are lovely photo frames around the sweet table showing the cute guest of honor. The pink and white flowers are also a beautiful touch.
