If you are looking for inspiration to host a fantastic Shabby Chic baby shower with a vintage theme feel, you will love the ideas that Jenny Wright of Wright by Me and her friend put together. She was kind enough to share the pictures with us.
The buffet spread: The buffet table was a sumptuous savory spread that was arranged beautifully and looked welcoming. Brightly colored platters of fruits and vegetables, colorful pasta and plenty of finger food in pink and brown look delicious. At the heart of it all is the “Its a girl” banner that adds to the elegance of the entire arrangement. It is a brilliant creation with lettering in pink on brown bunting with blue borders, and the little details like the addition of the pink baby suits to the banner have to be appreciated.
Desert table: Brown chocolates, chocolate cupcakes flecked with white, and individual tarts arranged elegantly on an exquisite silver stand complement the beautiful pink cake. The pink blossoms and white filler flowers beside the cupcakes bring more pink into the picture even as the baby banner in the background completes the look.
The tiered finger sandwich and croissant platter on a black metal frame provides an antique charm to the table.
Small details like wrapping chips in pretty brown scrap paper bags and stacking them in a distressed white box with chalk board labelling in pink make the entire look unique and special.
Flower Arrangement: Flowers add to the beauty of any occasion. The arrangement of pink hydrangea with brown roses and white filler flowers was ingenious and looks stunning in the white vase. Again, the finer details that contribute to the entire look, like the placement of the beverage jar on a pink book cover, and the addition of pink and white candy canes, have to be commended.
Cake: No party is complete without a cake, and what better way to welcome a little girl than with a pretty pink cake. With cute white bows, bright pink baby booties and fine ruffles that softly transition from white to bright pink, it was as pretty as a princess’ gown.
The welcome wreath was made from fabric scraps in pink, brown and turquoise and it was crafted to look perfect. Shabby bits of fabric have been given a new lease of life in this creative and pretty display.
Party favors in tiny jars sealed with light pink cloth were housed in a vintage metal basket and placed on a high chair. This couldn’t have been executed more beautifully.
The vintage baby basket complete with pretty frills on the hood and soft ivory lace was the icing on the cake. What a charming idea to have this special element of loveliness. A perfect party to welcome a perfect baby.
