With vibrant coral reefs, oysters and amazing varieties of fish, a world of astounding beauty exists under the sea! Yanilka of My Little Angel Decorations from Lawrence, Massachusetts recreated this busy and beautiful ocean scene for her client’s Quinceanera, aka fifteenth birthday party, and the sight was simply mesmerizing! Come with me as I dive into the pictures of this interesting event.
The buffet table is designed in the colors of coral, ivory, Tiffany blue and silver. The seven-tier cake is a breathtaking beauty, studded with lifelike fondant sea creatures. Corals, starfish and oysters look amazing against the blue fondant backdrop. The floral arrangements are equally bewitching, with coral and Tiffany colored blooms in clear glass vases and coral polyps within. A variety of sea-theme deserts and cookies spread out on a lush blue table cover. I love the idea of magnifying the impact by using a silver mirror as the backdrop for the buffet.
The tall cake in the center, brilliant flower arrangements, mini cakes on either sides and the pretty cookies create an arresting scene. The colorful cookies look exquisite in ornate silver and white trays.
A smaller cake sits on a foamy white base atop a shell-shaped cake stand. Starfish and shells embellish the top.
Everything from the ruffled table cover to gray swimming fish and even the towering oyster create a powerful image of the ocean floor. Original-looking starfish and shells stud the table cover! Trays of cake pops decorated with shells are placed throughout the buffet.
The tables in the dining area have a number of centerpieces including towering crystal vases, blue candles and floral arrangements in lavish pearl and crystal-studded bowls.
A variety of cookies have been custom-created for the event. Designed in the theme colors, these have embellishments that resemble shells and pearls.
Yanilka has created underwater scenes with a variety of sea creatures in starfish and shell-shaped bowls and used them as centerpieces.
How unusual yet interesting are these customized party favors! Wine glasses are silk-screen printed with the details of the event. These have further been embellished with shell studded blue ribbons and a flourish of ocean details along the base. I’m sure this will make an interesting display at each of the guests houses.
The cake server set is also personalized for the event. Each piece of silver sports the details of the day, as well as a custom-theme decoration on the handle.
